Unique bouquet of spicy & floral. Distinguished and different than its Masala cousin, this has been known to make chai devotees rethink how they drink their chai! Also delicious as an iced tea!
Ingredients:
Rainforest Alliance Kenyan black tea · allspice
clove · fennel · cinnamon · licorice root
ginger · black pepper · rose petals
Steeping Recommendations:
1 tsp of tea · 1 cup water · 208-212°F
Steep: 3 mins
# of Steeps: 2
As always, remove from water to prevent further steeping.
For iced tea:
2 heaping tsp · ½ cup water · 208-212°F
Steep: 3-5 mins
Add a minimum of 1 cup of ice cubes (some will melt).
Let cool for a minute and enjoy your iced tea!
For traditionally(ish) steeped chai:
Put 1 cup of milk per serving into a saucepan.
Bring to a simmer, do not boil!
Add 1 ½ tsp (5g) of chai tea to milk, cover & simmer on low heat for 3-5 mins.
Strain and enjoy! For a lighter chai, cut milk with water or a plant based milk
