The best peppermint comes from here, Washington State! The pure, moist mountain air of the spring and early summer growing season gives this peppermint some of the highest volatile oil counts of any member of the mint family.
This is a 1st Grade, Autumn Harvest which is the most flavorful, coolest and most pungent (can literally take your breath away and make your eyes water).
Often peppermint is consumed after meals as the oils stimulate the flow of bile to the stomach and help relieve gas pains. Additionally, it can calm the digestive system, and help with heartburn, stomach ache and nausea. It’s also used in bath water to lower body temperature – perfect for cooling fevered skin or after working on a hot summer’s day.

Steeping Recommendations:
1 tsp of tea · 1 cup water · 208-212°F
Steep: 3+ mins (for medicinal strength, steep at least 5-8 mins)
As always, remove from water to prevent further steeping.

Food Safety Advisory: We strongly recommend using filtered or freshly drawn cold water brought to a rolling boil when brewing all types of tea Boiling the water will reduce the potential incidence of water-borne illnesses.
