An aromatic Mediterranean herb with a distinct flavor. Has a mildly minty, lemon flavor with hints of pine and pepper. Commonly used in soups & sauces as well as oil infusions. Its also thought to have dietary and medicinal qualities, specifically antifungal, antibacterial, and insecticidal properties. It is also considered a natural food preservative.
